Çine Development Foundation was founded in 2009 in Çine, Aydin by our family where we started organic farming practices with 52 producers. By the end of 2017, it grew into more than 880 producers in 79 different villages amassing more than 14,000 acres. Organic Farming was initiated by Çine Development Foundation for the first time and its goal for the entire region is to help every farmer to do organic farming in the future. In order to achieve this goal, we provide seminars to educate our farmers, olive oil tasting classes for them to better understand the quality, site visits to widen their vision and monthly gatherings to share their experience.

Furthermore, our foundation provides International Certification for Olive Production through our agriculture engineers and consultants who control every step of organic farming and help the producers enhance the soil fertility and achieve environmental awareness. For us, organic farming is the technique that incorporates crop rotation, green manure, compost, and biological pest control.

In this specific region, most of the olive tree farms are on sloping land, nutrient poor soils and trees were cultivated to olive trees. Aging between 80-100 years, these farms are hereditary within the same family. Throughout the years, these wild-olive trees did not need much care except some trimming. However, with the efforts of our Development Foundation, our farmers are educated about taking organic measures to protect their trees in order to achieve the highest quality.

We are very proud to partner with these producers, who have a similar upbringing to our family, to bring you the best organic extra virgin olive oil.
